Where the Indian Ocean meets the Western Australia desert is where Ningaloo Reef is found. This very special stretch of reef is filled with a rich biodiverse ecosystem, large numbers of megafauna, an vast variety of fish and pristine coral reefs. I had the honour of working on the Manta Ray boats for the season and spent extensive time in the water photographing and observing Manta Ray's behaviours. I grew not only a greater understanding of how to best interact with these gentle giants but developed relationships with resident Mantas, got to know their unique personalities and my love for Elasmobranchs grew deeper.
